There's no one quite like Kobe

March 24, 2007

If this is the way Kobe responds to being suspended and given ticky-tack flagrant fouls, then, hey, NBA officials, bring it on.

Bad move, Kobe. These big games are going to get replayed over and over until eventually Stu Jackson is going to find a push-off or something.

Get ready to sit.

It has happened to me over and over again since Kobe Bryant began his career with the Lakers: I'm watching a Lakers game that's in the balance and Kobe's laser-like drive results in clutch baskets that save or win the game. And I tell myself, "We're so lucky to have him."

Come on, who else does this stuff? No one, from D-Wade to LeBron to, yes, Shaq. If this guy is not the next Michael Jordan, he's right next to him. And we won't see anyone else like him in this generation.

I was able only to quickly glance at a recent Lakers headline. Did Kobe score 65 points or take 65 shots?
