March 31, 2007|John O'Dell

Southern Californians interested in "green" fuels and vehicles can get an eyeful as the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute wraps up its annual national convention.

The four-day event at the Anaheim Convention Center, which starts Sunday, is aimed largely at commercial and government vehicle fleet operators, but the sponsoring trade group will open its exhibit hall to the public from 8 a.m. until noon Wednesday. Admission is free.

More than 100 exhibitors will show off all manner of items, including biodiesel-powered delivery trucks and electric neighborhood cars, as well as the latest in home fuel makers and plug-in hybrid technology.
