Gallerie gets in on Z fun

THE SCOUT / TRENDSPOTTING

November 01, 2007|DAVID A. KEEPS | Times Staff Writer

These days, the "Z" in Z Gallerie might as well stand for "zebra." The home furnishings chain has jumped on the design bandwagon with cocktail-hour accessories in the right-now African animal stripe, already a hit on rugs, upholstery and pillows. No zebras were harmed in the making of the cocktail shaker ($32.95) and leather-lined tray with cutout handles ($49.95) shown here. The zebra motif also is translated into beaded coasters ($3.95 each), 20-inch-square cloth napkins ($5.95 each) and etched amethyst double old-fashioned glasses ($6.95) and highballs ($7.95). www.zgallerie.com.
