Inglewood police announced Friday that they seized about 5,000 pounds of marijuana worth more than $20 million from a Carson home earlier this week.
Two males were arrested in the Wednesday raid on the single-family home police called a "stash house." Officers had followed a suspect driving in Inglewood who led them to the Carson home, said Sgt. Reggie Blaylock of the Inglewood Police Department. The men were still in custody Friday afternoon, said Lt. Herb Aguirre.
Narcotics detectives also seized a handgun and about $3,000 in cash, Aguirre said. He refused to release the suspects' names or bail amounts, saying it could jeopardize the investigation.
When "you get this large, substantial amount, it is really good," Aguirre said. "Because you know this wouldn't have been [distributed] just exclusive to Inglewood.
"From that location they would have distributed probably throughout Southern California minimally."
