Iraq crash: A roundup of developments in Iraq in Wednesday's Section A reported that two U.S. soldiers were killed and 12 injured in the crash of a U.S. helicopter near Baghdad the day before. In fact, the helicopter was a British craft, and two Britons were killed and two injured in the incident. The article also said that, as a result of that incident, the number of American troops that had been killed in Iraq since March 2003 rose to 3,875. At the time, the correct figure was 3,873.

Pakistan justice: An article on Pakistan's legal community in Wednesday's Section A said a ruling by the country's former chief justice had cleared the way for the reopening of a mosque stormed by troops four months ago. Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry empaneled other justices who issued the ruling, but he did not take part in it.

Skid row: A headline in Wednesday's California section said the Los Angeles City Council would help 50 of the neediest people on skid row. In fact, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will do so.

College basketball: In Wednesday's Sports section, Robyn Norwood's college basketball rankings indicated that Kerry Keating is the coach at St. Mary's. Keating coaches Santa Clara.

Kelly Clarkson hit: A review in Tuesday's Calendar section of Kelly Clarkson's concert at Gibson Amphitheatre referred to "Miss Independent" as "her first big hit." That 2003 Top 10 single was preceded by "A Moment Like This," which reached No. 1 in 2002.

Céline Dion album: Ann Powers' critic's notebook in Monday's Calendar section referred to Céline Dion's "Taking Chances" as her eighth studio album. It is her ninth.

Soccer riot: An article Nov. 12 in Section A about a clash among soccer fans in Italy said the Juventus club was based in Milan. The club is in the city of Turin.

Associations: The incorrect code section for homeowners association meetings was cited in the Nov. 18 Real Estate column. The correct citation is Civil Code Section 1363.03.
