Bedroom done in green

October 25, 2007|DAVID A. KEEPS | Times Staff Writer

Young Hollywood Home, the annual design showcase in West Hollywood, is mixing glam and green. Joining flashy installations from Fendi Casa and Minotti, the bedroom designed by Cory Pernicano is cool and crunchy, with walls finished in American Clay earth plaster and Kravet Green wallpaper wainscoting made from recycled bottles. Pernicano selected sustainable furniture from Cisco Home, including a driftwood floor lamp and a side table with a reclaimed teak top. The designer added nearly 3 feet to the height of Cisco's Rowan wingback bed, upholstered in black cork fabric and available through Cory Pernicano Design, (323) 667-1390. The free show, sponsored by Hollywood Life magazine, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays through Nov. 6 at the Pacific Design Center, 8786 Melrose Ave., Suite B219.

Design show: In the Home section's Oct. 25 column "The Scout," an item about the Young Hollywood Home exhibition at the Pacific Design Center credited an eco-friendly bedroom design to Cory Pernicano. The story should have said that the Beverly Hills consulting firm Greenlivinglifestyle produced the room and asked Pernicano to collaborate on the project.
