It was a Labor Day weekend for the record books at a St. Petersburg hospital as Karoline Byler, 29, gave birth to the state's first sextuplets.

The five boys and one girl, weighing 2 to 3 pounds each, were delivered by caesarean section. They had been due in November. A hospital spokesman said that five were in stable condition and that a medical team was trying to stabilize one boy.
