Two teens under arrest in April robbery, slaying

Two teenage suspects have been arrested in the robbery and slaying of Silvano Arcos, a 44-year-old man who was gunned down April 23 in front of his house, authorities said.

Jorge Diaz, 19, and a juvenile accomplice, both gang members, are accused of shooting Arcos during the course of a mugging, said Cpl. Jose Gonzalez of the Santa Ana Police Department.

The incident occurred in the 500 block of South Halladay Street, across the street from Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School.
