* at Brigham Young 31, Air Force 6: Max Hall passed for 293 yards and two touchdowns and the Cougars (2-2, 1-1) ended an unbeaten start for the Falcons (3-1, 2-1) in a Mountain West Conference game at Provo, Utah. BYU hasn't lost a conference game since Nov. 19, 2005 against rival Utah, which was also the last time the Cougars lost at home.

* at Nevada Las Vegas 27, Utah 0: Frank Summers rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Rebels (2-2, 1-0) over the Utes (1-3, 0-2) in a Mountain West game.

* at San Diego State 52, Portland State 17: Kevin O'Connell completed 19 of 31 passes for career highs of 443 yards and five touchdowns as the Aztecs (1-2) beat the Vikings (1-3). Three of the touchdown passes were to Brett Swain, who finished with six catches for a career-high 224 yards.

* at New Mexico 58, Sacramento State 0: Rodney Ferguson had 129 yards rushing and four touchdowns, and Donovan Porterie threw for 229 yards and a score to lead the Lobos (3-1) over the Hornets (0-3) at Albuquerque.

* Northern Illinois 42, at Idaho 35: Justin Anderson ran for 167 yards and a touchdown to help the Huskies (1-3) beat the Vandals (1-3) at Moscow. Idaho reached the 17 late, but Larry English sacked Nathan Enderle to end the game.

* San Jose State 23, at Utah State 20: David Richmond caught a 31-yard touchdown pass from Adam Tafralis with 53 seconds left as the Spartans (1-3, 1-0) beat the Aggies (0-4, 0-1) in a Western Athletic Conference game at Logan.

* at Cal Poly SLO 24, Western Oregon 17: Jonathan Dally threw three touchdown passes, and the Mustangs (2-2) overcame a 10-0 deficit to hold off the Wolves (3-1).

* at Nicholls State 30, Azusa Pacific 28: Alex Romero kicked a 23-yard field goal with nine seconds left to give the Colonels (3-1) the win over the Cougars (1-4) at Thibodaux, La. Jon Davis caught three fourth-quarter touchdowns for APU, which scored all its points in the last 15 minutes and led 28-27 with 1:27 left.

* at Pacific Lutheran 34, Chapman 13: Brett Gordon completed 11 of 18 passes for 153 and two touchdowns to lead the Lutes (3-0) over the Panthers (1-1) at Puyallup, Wash.

* Whittier 28, at Puget Sound 26: Josh Scurlock passed for three touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Poets (1-1) over the Loggers (2-1) at Tacoma, Wash. Puget Sound failed on a two-point conversion with 46 seconds left.
