SUNDAY

And just like that, she’s out of our lives again. Bid Tracey Ullman’s brilliant Showtime series “State of the Union” a fond season farewell. It’s few who can impersonate – and differentiate between – the squeaky sounds of Renée Zellweger and David Beckham. (Showtime, 10 p.m.) Also: Wind down your reality habit with the finales of “Celebrity Fit Club” (VH1, 7:30 p.m.) and “Big Brother 9.” (CBS, 8 p.m.)

MONDAY

“House” (with Hugh Laurie, below) returns and is stumped by a patient who’s too nice to be healthy. (Fox, 9 p.m.) Also: Are Junior and Kris really going to tie the knot? Find out on the fourth-season finale of “Wildfire.” (ABC Family, 9 p.m.)

TUESDAY

First “Blue Planet” took on the sea, then Discovery Channel took on “Planet Earth.” But it doesn’t get any bigger than “The Universe,” History’s ongoing exploration of the planets, the stars and everything between here and the edge of the unknown. (History, 9 p.m.) Also: The distance between married grifters Dahlia and Wayne widens on the season finale of “The Riches.” (FX, 10 p.m.)

WEDNESDAY

The Bachelor” meets “The Simple Life” in “Farmer Wants a Wife.” Ten willing city women descend on rural Missouri to capture the heart of a modern-day farmer – think tractor rides, large animals, quilt-making and bingo nights. The upside? It’s Paris-and-Nicole-free!

(CW,

9 p.m.)

THURSDAY

Audiences dropped the ball when it came to CBS’ short-lived “Creature Comforts,” in which animated animals sound off, man-on-the-street style, on ailments, fine wine, what it takes to keep a secret and other issues. It’s their candid voices and unscripted thoughts that give the animals their charm. Cheers to Animal Planet for giving us a second chance to watch. (Animal Planet, 7 p.m.)

FRIDAY

“Man vs. Wild” host-survivor extraordinaire Bear Grylls ventures into the landlocked country of Zambia for his show’s season premiere. Before heading into the bush of Southern Africa, he’ll teach viewers how to handle some of the world’s biggest rapids.

(Discovery, 9 p.m.)

SATURDAY

Speaking of farmers … Billy Bob Thornton plays one who builds his own spacecraft in 2007’s “The Astronaut Farmer.” Don’t think crazy. Think inspirational, à la “Field of Dreams.”

(HBO, 8:30 p.m.)
