Jose Canseco: taking his cuts
TAKING HIS CUTS
Former slugger and American League MVP Jose Canseco has continued to hit long balls after his retirement from major league baseball, first with his 2005 book, “Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant ‘Roids, Smash Hits and How Baseball Got Big” – in which he admitted having used anabolic steroids – and now in his follow-up, “Vindicated: Big Names, Big Liars, and the Battle to Save Baseball.” The new book brashly takes on even more big leaguers, including, notably, New York Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez. Canseco will sign copies of the book (but no memorabilia) at Book Soup. 7 p.m. Mon., 8818 Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood. (310) 659-3110
