‘Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus’
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT
“The costume is challenging,” says Adam Bampton-Smith, artistic director for Britain’s Big Wooden Horse Theatre, of the oversized pigeon costume he wears in “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!” “When we started rehearsing, I kept knocking things over with my tail feathers. Also, it’s quite difficult to hear through the foam head.” Impediments notwithstanding, the interactive musical comedy about a pigeon who uses every trick in the book to get his way curries favor with young audiences. 7 p.m. Fri., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sat., 1 p.m. Sun. Orange County Performing Artscenter, Samueli Theater, 600 Town Center Drive, Costa Mesa. $14-$19. (714) 556-2787; www.ocpac.org
