Bamboozle Left in Irvine
GETTING BAMBOOZLED
You could forgive a fresh-faced emo kid for wondering who all the old dudes at their beloved Bamboozle Left festival are this year. Face to Face, H20, Hot Water Music and Goldfinger are among the Pleistocene-era (by pop-punk standards) acts joining plucky young things like Paramore and Chiodos and radio heavyweights My Chemical Romance (with Gerard Way, pictured) and the All-American Rejects. Hopefully it won’t devolve into anti-emo riots like the ones happening in Mexico – the last thing these kids need is an enhanced sense of victimhood. Noon Sat. and Sun., Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. (949) 855-8095; www.bamboozleleft.com
