DJ Damian Lazarus: Keeping it underground
KEEPING IT UNDERGROUND
British DJ Damian Lazarus carries with him lofty expectations wherever he goes, ever since DJ magazine proclaimed he “plays the best underground records in the world.” Then again, you don’t earn that praise spinning the flavor of the day hip-hop and that retro ’80s stuff most people were sick of two decades ago. So if you want to dance on the wild side, then check out Lazarus’ self-described “twisted, raw, deep underground techno, house and electro.” Now that sounds like a party. 10 p.m. Sat., Avaland at Avalon. $15. (323) 462-8900
