‘The Wild Party’ in Fullerton
THE NAME SAYS IT ALL
No amount of cigarette smoke and bathtub gin can cover the stench of scandal in this apartment once “The Wild Party” gets started. Director T.J. Dawson had to rearrange the furniture in Fullerton’s Stages Theater to make room for the 19 guests in Andrew Lippa’s tale of decadence in the ’20s, based on the narrative poem by Joseph Moncure March. Dawson has turned up the phonograph and cleared the dance floor but warns: “If you play with fire, you’re going to get burned.” Pictured: Jeanette Phillips and AJ Abrams. Opens 8 p.m. Fri., runs 8 p.m. Fri. and Sat., 6 p.m. Sun., closes May 11. 400 E. Commonwealth Ave. $20. (714) 525-4484; www.stagesoc.org
