Server of the Week: Katsuya Brentwood’s Monica Pitpit
SERVER OF THE WEEK
Even in the sea of gorgeous servers at Katsuya Brentwood, Monica Pitpit stands out. And, yes, she is an actor. “I’m the total cliché,” says the San Diego native, “the actress waitress.” She is in production on an indie film directed by Steve Garrett with the working title “The Enlightenment of Bob.” “I play Carmen, the lead character, a ghetto girl from East L.A. I say a lot of bad words.” Pitpit keeps fit by riding her bike just about everywhere, including to work and occasionally to the beach from her West Hollywood adjacent home. But when she goes out with friends to the Katsuya at Hollywood and Vine, which she does regularly – it’s not about her employee discount, she swears – she drives. What does she eat? Robata and maybe a baked crab roll. “We call it the crack roll because it’s addicting,” says Pitpit. 11777 San Vicente Blvd., (310) 207-8744
