Hazmat crews arrived at the school in the 6800 block of North Topanga Canyon Boulevard about 9:15 a.m. and ordered evacuations, authorities said. The odor was reported shortly after 9 a.m., said d'Lisa Davies, a Fire Department spokeswoman.
"They just got on the scene and are trying to assess the situation," Davies said.
No information was immediately available on injuries or the cause of the odor, but there are confirmed reports of "several people feeling sick," Davies said.
