Favre says he has no plans to return to the NFL

League sources reiterate that the retired quarterback's agent has put out feelers, but Favre contends he is happy with his decision.
Brett Favre made it clear Friday today that he has no plans to come out of retirement next season to play for the Green Bay Packers or any other team.
"That's the last thing I'm thinking about," Favre told SI.com. "I have no idea where that came from, but it certainly didn't come from me. I'm happy about my decision and I haven't once said, 'I wonder if I made the wrong decision.' I know it's the right one."
Favre was responding to a report Thursday by The Times that his agent, James "Bus" Cook, has approached other teams since the star quarterback retired last month to gauge their interest in trading for him. The report cited NFL sources.
Despite the agent's contention that the report is "absolutely false," those sources again Friday emphasized those inquiries took place and that they came directly from Cook.
Because Favre remains under contract with the Packers, any other team that engaged in conversations with Cook about a possible trade could be in violation of the league's anti-tampering rules.
The Times report said the sources did not indicate whether Favre had any knowledge the inquiries had taken place. Favre told SI.com that he was unaware of any inquiries and was surprised the story had gathered so much steam.
"It's crazy to me that I'm the guy they're all talking about, and the story is out there everywhere, and I have nothing to do with it," he said. "It's not something I'm thinking about. It's kind of funny. Even when I'm retired, they won't let me stay retired."
