It's a look from high-society Pasadena, circa 1908, and starting today, it's one of 15 costumes from the last century on display in the historic Gamble House.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Craftsman jewel, the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising has put together an exhibit that allows visitors to experience the place in a kind of lived-in glory. Mannequins representing members of the Gamble clan (who presumably actually had faces) are outfitted in clothing and accessories from FIDM's costume collection and appear as they would have on a spring day in 1908.
"Fashionable Dress in an Artistic Landmark: The Gamble House, circa 1908" opens today and runs through June 8. Hourlong tours run Thursday through Sunday. Tickets, $7 to $10. For reservations, call (626) 793-3334.
