For the record
Hotel revitalization: An article in the July 10 California section about the Beverly Hilton Revitalization Project said the developer's plan would replace the Hilton with a 12-story Waldorf-Astoria hotel with 47 fewer rooms. Under the plan, the Hilton would be renovated, resulting in 217 fewer rooms, and a new Waldorf-Astoria building would be added to the property, for an overall reduction of 47 rooms.
Minimum wage: The Capitol Journal column in Thursday's California section misstated the federal minimum wage. The correct figure is $6.55 an hour, not $6.65.
Disney earnings: An article in the Business section on Thursday about Walt Disney Co.'s third-quarter earnings said the well-received Disney/Pixar Animation film "Wall-E" did not compensate for Disney's underperforming movie "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian." "Wall-E" opened June 27, a day before the end of the quarter. Its performance will be reflected in Disney's fourth-quarter results.
Orange County Philharmonic: A Quick Takes item in Wednesday's Calendar section said the new season of the Philharmonic Society of Orange County would begin tonight. The season opens Oct. 1.
Quiche recipe: In Wednesday's Food section, the baking temperature was omitted from a recipe for Le Pain Quotidien's quiche Lorraine. It should be baked at 350 degrees.
Restaurant location: In the July 30 Food section, a Restaurant Journal item said chef Theo Schoenegger would open his new restaurant at Wynn Las Vegas. In fact, the restaurant will be at Encore, a resort adjacent to and affiliated with the Wynn that is scheduled to open this winter.
Bad breath: In Monday's Health section, an article about mouthwash referred to putrescine, an organic compound, as sulfurous. Putrescine, though malodorous, contains no sulfur.
