Bank security guard is shot and killed
Two suspects grabbed the guard's gun and shot him, police say. He dies at a local hospital.
A security guard at a Los Angeles bank was killed today after he was accosted by two suspects who took his gun and shot him with it, police said.
The guard, who was not identified, was approached by the suspects about 10:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Bank of America branch at 29th Street and Crenshaw Boulevard, police said. Police were still searching the area for the suspects.
The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital while undergoing surgery, LAPD spokeswoman Kate Lopez said.
