Injured infielders Erick Aybar and Howie Kendrick could be left home to rehab their sore left hamstrings when the Angels leave for a six-game trip Monday. That's not significant for Kendrick, who isn't eligible to come off the disabled list for another two weeks. But it could represent something of a setback for Aybar, who is officially listed as "day to day."
"If a guy is close to getting into baseball activities, then it's a no-brainer. You want to take him on the road with you and monitor that," Angels Manager Mike Scioscia said Saturday. "[But] if a guy is far enough away . . . sometimes it's better that they get more concentrated work back here."
