Lakers lead Philadelphia, 61-51, at halftime
Reporting from Broderick Turner and Philadelphia — The game the Lakers blew Tuesday night in Indiana left them tired and carrying a heavy burden.
"We had some guys nursing some psychological and physical wounds this morning, so we were gimping a little bit this morning," Lakers Coach Phil Jackson said before his team faced the Philadelphia 76ers at Wachovia Center.
But the Lakers responded by opening a 61-51 lead at halftime over the 76ers tonight. night.
Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 17 points; he also had three assists and four rebounds.
Pau Gasol and Vladimir Radmanovic both had 11 points in the first half.
Andre Miller led the 76ers with 17 points.
