A 61-year-old Lake View Terrace man was killed Sunday when the horse he was riding slammed him into a tree at an equestrian park near Foothill Boulevard and Orcas Street, authorities said.
Coroner's officials said Buddy Dean Lilly suffered fatal head and chest injuries in the accident shortly after noon. Authorities said Lilly was riding at Gabrieleno Equestrian Park when his horse bolted and ran through a through a wooded area.
