The Defense Department last week identified the following American soldier who died in Afghanistan:
Colman J. Meadows III, 19, of Senoia, Ga.; private, Army. Meadows died of noncombat-related injuries Tuesday at Forward Operating Base Ramrod in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.
