Update – Playing in his first NHL game Saturday night, Kings center-defenseman Brian Boyle had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 loss at New Jersey. Dustin Brown, the Kings’ leading goal scorer, hasn’t scored in the last five games and fellow first-line mate Patrick O’Sullivan hasn’t scored in the last seven, their longest stretches without a goal this season. The Rangers erased a three-goal deficit in a 5-3 victory Sunday at Montreal, moving them into seventh place in the Eastern Conference. These teams last met on Oct. 30, 2006, when the Kings won, 4-1, at Staples Center.
