* at New Jersey 5, Carolina 1: Travis Zajac had a goal and an assist, leading the surging Devils and giving them a share of the Eastern Conference lead.
* at N.Y. Islanders 3, San Jose 2: Freddy Meyer capped New York’s three-goal, third-period rally, taking advantage of injured Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov, who returned to the game to start the third after a slap shot by Radek Martinek broke his mask and cut him on the bridge of the nose.
* Detroit 4, at Colorado 0: Chris Osgood stopped 18 shots for his 47th shutout, Henrik Zetterberg scored two goals and the Red Wings ended a six-game losing streak.
* Phoenix 4, at Kings 0: Radim Vrbata scored a goal and assisted on two others, and Wayne Gretzky won his 100th game as Coyotes coach.
