Canada’s Butchart Gardens
Blooming wonders
My favorite meditation image is from Butchart Gardens [above] in November, a tapestry of colors. Visitors can still view glorious blooming flowers in the hothouse or on DVD from the gift shop.
Butchart Gardens, 800 Benvenuto Ave., Brentwood Bay, British Columbia; (866) 652-4422, www.butchartgardens.com.
Entrance fees from $17.

Tickle your nose
Check out a neat little bed-and-break- fast inn in Épernay, the center of the Champagne region. When you walk to town for dinner, you will pass by Moët & Chandon.
Parva Domus Guest House, 27 Avenue de Champagne, Épernay; 011-33-6-13-99-12-57, www.parvadomusrimaire.com.
Doubles from about $115.
