Today is New Year's Day. The following schedule will be in effect in observance of the holiday.
Government: All city, county and federal offices and courts will be closed.
Mail: There will be no delivery, and post offices will be closed.
Libraries: Most will be closed
Banks: Most will be closed.
Schools: Public campuses will be closed. UC Irvine, Cal State Fullerton and Chapman University will not hold classes.
Public transportation: OCTA buses will operate on a holiday schedule. Metrolink trains will not be operating.
Trash collection: No pickup. Service will be delayed one day .
