Doo Dah Parade: Pasadena’s decidedly ‘other’ parade
PARADE, HOLD THE ROSES
Pasadena’s “other” parade happens this Sunday. World-famous for its egalitarian spirit and its wiggy, offbeat style, the Doo Dah Parade will once again feature such homegrown acts as Snotty Scotty & the Hankies, Claude Rains & the 20-Man Memorial Invisible Man Marching Drill Team, the Bastard Sons of Lee Marvin and other citizen-performers. This year’s grand marshal is anti-consumerism activist Rev. Billy of the Church of Stop Shopping. 11:30 a.m. Sun., Old Town, Colorado Boulevard, Pasadena. Free. (626) 205-4029
