‘Rumpelstiltskin’: Say my name
SAY MY NAME
“We pride ourselves on being nontraditional,” says Kathi Mallec, artistic director of the Bubblegum Playhouse. So it’s no wonder the company’s latest production, a comedic adaptation of the classic fairy tale “Rumpelstiltskin,” features a 6-foot baby, a musically inclined gnome with a driver’s license and a healthy dose of audience participation. Pictured: Sherry Lynn Handa, left, Lamar Waters and Rosie Tisch. 10 a.m. Saturdays. Ends Feb. 23. 13500 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks. $12. (310) 285-5160; www.bubblegumplayhouse.com
