Chefs Eat

January 31, 2008

Clementine chef Annie Miler is beloved for her artful breakfasts. When she forages for a morning meal outside of her repertoire -- rustic comfort food and splendiferous baked goods -- she heads to the Farmers Market, where she indulges in a dish that she says she loves "almost as much as I love my children." "The huevos rancheros morita from Loteria Grill are my singular obsession. A corn tortilla topped with fried eggs and a fiery sauce, served with the most delicious papas con rajas. Once I ate them Saturday night, then went back Sunday and ate them for breakfast." Clementine, 1751 Ensley Ave., (310) 552-1080; Loteria Grill, 6333 W. 3rd St., (323) 930-2211
