Off-duty LAPD officer injured in stabbing at San Pedro club Crimsin
The officer was wounded during a fight with several men outside the upscale lounge early this morning, authorities say. He is hospitalized in stable condition.
An off-duty Los Angeles police officer was stabbed and wounded during a fight with several men outside a San Pedro lounge early this morning, authorities said.
The stabbing occurred shortly after midnight outside Crimsin in the 300 block of West 6th Street, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department's media relations office.
Details about the officer's wounds, including how many times he was stabbed, were not being released this morning, she said.
Eisenman said the officer was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Authorities arrested two men in connection with the incident and are searching for two other men allegedly involved in the fight, Eisenman said.
LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division is investigating the incident.
The upscale nightclub, which opened last year, replaced another bar, Tommy's Yacht Club, which had operated in the same space. The Crimsin, according to a review in The Times, allows regulars to store name-tagged, key-locked bottles at the bar and enforces a strict dress code.
