Chef Rich Mead is featuring locally produced seasonal fruits at his restaurant Sage on the Coast. "Everyone thinks desserts, but I like to take the flavors throughout the menu," says Mead. Black Mission figs are the current highlight as they're sliced with prosciutto, arugula, pine nuts and goat cheese for a tasty bruschetta or much in demand pizza. Grapefruits, blood oranges and tangerines feature in a fresh grilled scallop salad (pictured) with butter lettuce while seared duck gets a sweet side of grilled peaches.
