California Heritage Museum's eighth annual Antique and Contemporary Tile Sale

MORE than 40 antique and contemporary tile dealers, collectors and artists from around the country will participate in the California Heritage Museum's eighth annual Antique and Contemporary Tile Sale on Saturday. Among the hundreds of offerings: rare Malibu, Catalina, Calco and Batchelder tiles; many antique tile tables and murals; and colorful art pottery, Mexicana items and Monterey furniture. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5. Cycads lecture:

Maurice Levin, owner of the Jurassic Garden at A&A Cycads in North Hollywood, will discuss how to propagate and transplant cycads as well as ways to use them in landscapes. A limited selection of the endangered species plants will be available for purchase. The lecture will be part of the monthly meeting of the Southern California Horticultural Society. 7:30 p.m. Free. Fern talk and plant sale:

Steve Morgan, curator of UC Riverside's Botanic Gardens, will share his expertise on the best ferns for Southern California gardens and how to use them to advantage in the landscape. Bonsai show:

The Bonsai Society's 38th annual display at Descanso Gardens will feature sculpted trees, shrubs and other plants. Fuchsia festival:
