The idea to use a sailing ship to promote London's 2012 Olympic Games took on water and sank this week. Officials in London are now looking for other ways to promote the Games, the BCC reported.

The "Olympic Friend-ship" was to spend four years traveling the world and be crewed by young people, artists, philosophers and students -- picture the Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour" on water -- with every nation visited having "the opportunity to contribute to the vessel's cargo," according to organizers.
