Danno Metoyer / DJ

Meet The Experts

Nervous? They're not. This wedding dream team knows how to finesse every detail.

At a recent wedding, DJ Danno Metoyer sensed that the song he had cued up on his laptop wasn't right for the moment, so he made an on-the-spot swap to Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack." Like kismet, a guest walked up to request that very song just as it began to play. Call it intuition or premonition--it's that kind of connection Metoyer forms with his clients, who have been known to plan their wedding dates based on his availability. "There is an impact that needs to happen to give everyone in attendance a lifetime of memories," he says. Since founding Elite Sound Entertainment in 1991, Metoyer has garnered a roster of celebrity clients and provided the music for Kelsey and Camille Grammer's gala wedding, as well as for the reception of "The Bachelorette's" Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter. Metoyer says he always starts by asking couples for at least one song for their first dance, and then improvises from a catalog of more than 20,000 tunes loaded onto his hard drive. Couples sometimes prefer a more extensive song list, and Metoyer is happy to oblige. Just don't ask for "The Chicken Dance." "It says 'No Chicken Dances' right on my brochure. I don't know if it's bad for weddings, but it's bad for me," he says with a laugh. "It's against my policy." www.elitesoundent.com
