Boston 5, at Minnesota 2: Coco Crisp and Jed Lowrie hit homers to lead off the seventh inning -- Crisp's first since Sept. 6 and Lowrie's first of his career. Daisuke Matsuzaka (6-0) gave up two runs and six hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings.

New York 5, at Detroit 2: Darrell Rasner (2-0) pitched six-plus innings, giving up two runs and four hits, and the Yankees ended a six-game losing streak to the Tigers. Three relievers finished, with Mariano Rivera pitching the ninth inning for his 10th save in 10 chances.

at Texas 6, Oakland 4: Milton Bradley homered and drove in three runs and the Rangers won despite having their shutout streak end at 33 innings. It was the longest shutout streak since Baltimore pitchers posted 45 consecutive shutout innings to end the 1995 season. The longest streak in Rangers history is 39 in 1981.

at Cleveland 12, Toronto 0: Grady Sizemore homered twice and drove in five runs. His leadoff homer started a six-run first inning. The Indians defeated the Blue Jays for the ninth consecutive time at home.

Baltimore 6, at Kansas City 5: Kevin Millar hit a three-run homer to help the Orioles beat the Royals for the 12th time in a row.

Chicago 8, at Seattle 4: Brian Anderson and Carlos Quentin combined for five RBIs in the second inning. Anderson hit a three-run homer, his first of the season. Quentin hit a two-run homer.

at Tampa Bay 2, Angels 0: Joe Saunders (6-1) was trying to become the league's first seven-game winner.
