Pinkberry opens 50th store
Newport Beach is the site of the yogurt chain’s milestone shop.
THE BIG 5-0
Pinkberry has struck gold on Fashion Island, so to speak. The 3-year-old frozen yogurt sensation has opened its 50th store in the bicoastal chain. Corporate VIPs came out for the golden milestone, celebrating with customers eager to sink their spoons into the now certified authentic fro-yo. The first 200 customers at last month’s Newport Beach grand opening got an exclusive T-shirt and the chance to be served by the company’s co-founders. The cha-ching of a bustling cash register benefited the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation in Irvine, which received the opening-day proceeds. 941 Newport Center Drive, (949) 721-1681; www.pinkberry.com
