Johnny Rebs' Southern Roadhouse: Renewed in town

After a fire gutted the place in August, the Long Beach location of Johnny Rebs' Southern Roadhouse reopened on May 13, complete with its country décor and traditional menu of hickory-smoked meats. That includes St. Louis, baby back and beef ribs as well as hot links, pulled pork and brisket. From the pork chops smothered in gravy to the freshly made hush puppies to the fried green tomatoes liberally topped with bacon crumbles, Johnny Rebs' is a study in deep-fried Southern decadence.
