Los Angeles city utility crews were working to restore power today to about 3,400 customers who were without electricity in scattered storm-related outages.
The largest outage occurred in the Palms district, where 1,600 Department of Water and Power customers lost power at 10 a.m. The remaining outages were in scattered pockets around the city.
DWP spokeswoman MaryAnne Pierson said extra crews had been called in and the department was working to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
In addition, an earlier outage today affected 800 customers in Venice. That outage has been resolved.
