at Philadelphia 125, Sacramento 91: Thaddeus Young scored 18 points, Lou Williams had 17 and the 76ers routed the winless Kings. The 76ers have been one of the worst three-point shooting teams in the NBA the last few seasons, but seemed to discover their long-range form against the Kings, finishing 10 for 13.

at Orlando 96, Chicago 93: Dwight Howard had 22 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Magic. Chicago's Ben Gordon missed a fall-away jumper with 15 seconds left that would have tied the score and Andres Nocioni missed a leaning three-pointer at the buzzer that would have sent the game into overtime.

at Memphis 90, Golden State 79: Marc Gasol had 27 points and 16 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who ended a seven-game skid in the series against Golden State. Corey Maggette scored 13 points for the Warriors despite sitting out the second quarter with a strained left hamstring.

Cleveland 100, at Dallas 81: LeBron James broke a third-quarter tie with a flying rebound-layup to lift the Cavaliers. James made only eight of 20 field-goal attempts but scored 29 points and took over when his team needed it. Dirk Nowitzki was limited to eight points as the Mavericks fell to 0-2 at home.

Detroit 101, at Charlotte 83: Richard Hamilton scored 19 points, 11 of them in the third quarter, and the Pistons improved to 3-0.

Utah 89, at Clippers 73: Paul Millsap scored 15 points during a pivotal 17-3 run in the fourth quarter, and the Clippers remained winless.
