Here it is, nearly four months away from the Oscars, and award season is already in full swing. Here are some key dates to mark on your calendars:

Nov. 3: Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences animation entries due.

Nov. 6: Britannia Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza hotel; AFI submissions due.

Nov. 7: Hollywood Foreign Press Assn. deadline for Golden Globe submission entries; The Producers Guild of America film submission deadline.

Nov. 10: People's Choice Awards nominations announced; Casting Society Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel.

Nov. 14: Motion Picture Sound Editors entry forms available on the website; AMPAS animation film prints due.

Nov. 20: British Academy of Film and Television Arts entry deadline.

Nov. 21: Mail in Costume Designers Guild solicitation letter/form for submission entry.

Nov. 26: Screen Actors Guild nominations ballots mailed; HFPA deadline for nomination ballots to be mailed to members.

Nov. 30: British Independent Film Awards in London.

Dec. 1: American Cinematheque Awards; ASIFA Annie Award nominations announced; PGA film nomination ballots available; Broadcast Film Critics ballots mailed; Directors Guild of America nomination ballots mailed.

Dec. 2: Gotham Awards, New York.

Dec. 4: Grammy nominations announced; Writers Guild of America film ballots go live online; National Board of Review of Motion Pictures announces winners.

Dec. 5: American Cinema Editors submissions for nominations end; International Documentary Awards at the DGA Theater; Cinema Audio Society entry submissions due by 5 p.m.; MPSE entry forms due.

Dec. 6: HFPA final screening date for motion pictures.

Dec. 7: HFPA final date for motion picture news conference; Broadcast Film Critics nomination ballots due.

Dec. 8: Washington Area Film Critics winners announced; BAFTA first round of voting activated; HFPA nominations due; ASIFA Annie Awards deadline to receive materials.

Dec. 9: Broadcast Film Critics Awards.

Dec. 10: Los Angeles Film Critics Assn. votes and announces winners.

Dec. 11: HFPA nominations announced at 5 a.m.; Chicago Film Critics announces.

Dec. 14: Boston Film Critics announces; AFI 10 Movies of the Year announced.

Dec. 15: ACE nomination ballots mailed; CDG submission forms due; Toronto, San Diego, San Francisco, St. Louis and Southeast film critics announce.

Dec. 16: Phoenix Film Critics Society announces; SAG nomination ballots due by noon; CAS nomination ballots mailed.
