Parker scores 55 in Spurs' first win

MINNEAPOLIS -- Tony Parker scored a career-high 55 points, including a 20-footer at the buzzer to force a second overtime, in the San Antonio Spurs' 129-125 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night

It was the Spurs' first victory of the season.

"I just wanted to win so bad. I was going to try to do everything I can," said Parker.

He also had 10 assists. According to STATS, Inc., the last NBA player to have at least 55 points and 10 assists in a game was Michael Jordan in December 1992.

Kevin Love had 14 points and nine rebounds for the Timberwolves.
