at Boston 94, Toronto 87: Paul Pierce scored 22 of his 36 points in the fourth quarter of the Celtics' comeback win. Kevin Garnett had 21 points and 10 rebounds, and Ray Allen scored 19 points for Boston (7-1), which scored 58 points in the second half after getting 36 in the first half.

Portland 106, at Orlando 99: Brandon Roy scored 27 points to lead the Trail Blazers to their first road victory of the season. Dwight Howard had 29 points and a season-high 19 rebounds and Hedo Turkoglu scored 35 points for the Magic, which went 4-1 on its homestand.

at Miami 99, New Jersey 94: Dwyane Wade scored 19 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, and the Heat rallied from a 10-point deficit midway through the final quarter to improve to 3-0 at home for the first time since the 1999-2000 season. Yi Jianlian scored 24 points for the Nets.

at Phoenix 107, Memphis 102: Leandro Barbosa had 16 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter and hit a go-ahead three-pointer with 43.8 seconds left as the Suns held off the Grizzlies. O.J. Mayo, the rookie from USC, had 33 points for the Grizzlies, who erased a 17-point third-quarter deficit.

at Indiana 107, Oklahoma City 99: T.J. Ford had 24 points, 11 in the fourth quarter, and 10 assists for the Pacers. Danny Granger added 20 points and seven rebounds for Indiana (3-3). Kevin Durant led the Thunder (1-6) with 37 points and eight rebounds.
