St. Mary's 79, Cal State Fullerton 54: Patrick Mills scored 21 points, Diamon Simpson had 12 points and a career-high 17 rebounds, and the Gaels (4-1) beat the Titans (2-4) in a consolation round of the 76 Classic in Anaheim. Josh Akognon scored 24 points for Fullerton, which shot a season-low 34.5% in losing its third straight game. Marcio Lassiter scored 12 points for the Titans. St. Mary's used a 14-0 run to build a 66-43 lead with 10 1/2 minutes remaining, and wasn't threatened after that.

UC Santa Barbara 71, Winston-Salem State 58: Chris Devine scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Gauchos (2-3) over the Rams (0-4) in the World Vision Invitational at Normal, Ill. Devine's double-double came on five-for-seven shooting. Paul Roemer had 11 points for the Gauchos, who at one point led by as many as 18 points. The Gauchos led 34-23 at the break. The Rams staged a rally in the second half, coming to within 11 points with four minutes left. That was as close as they got, though, and UCSB extended its lead to 15 at the 3:41 mark.

Idaho 101, UC Irvine 47: Terrence Simmons' game-high 18 points helped the Vandals (3-3) rout the Anteaters (0-4) at Moscow, Idaho. Four other Idaho players also scored in double figures. Mac Hopson scored 16 points with a game-high four assists, Luciano de Souza and Marvin Jefferson had 12 each and Kashif Watson scored 10. UC Irvine was led by Brett Lauer, who had 12 points. Idaho opened with a 15-0 run and the Vandals led 42-16 at the half. Simmons had 10 points by halftime.
