9 arrested in bust of drug ring

Authorities have broken up an international drug-trafficking ring that allegedly shipped cocaine and other narcotics across the U.S.-Canada border.

Federal prosecutors said Tuesday that nine people have been arrested, including Jason Ming Wei, a Canadian citizen who lives in Temple City and is suspected of running the ring.

The suspects are among 17 people indicted on charges of money laundering and trafficking Ecstasy, cocaine and methamphetamine into and out of the United States.
