No injuries in La Mirada train derailment

A Union Pacific Railroad train went off the rails this morning in La Mirada, but no one was injured, authorities said.

The three to five boxcars were empty and no one was injured, said Sgt. Joe Reveles of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Officials were notified of the derailing, near Industry Circle, at about 9:30 a.m. No other details were available. The incident is under investigation.
