In games involving Conference USA teams: Collin Mooney ran for 187 yards and four touchdowns, and Army (1-4) rolled to a 44-13 win over host Tulane (2-3). Army had scored just 37 points coming into the game, but forced four turnovers and returned two of them for touchdowns. . . . Ronnie Weaver rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown as host Central Florida (2-4, 1-1) broke a three-game losing streak with a 31-17 win over Southern Methodist (1-5, 0-3). . . . Trevor Vittatoe threw four touchdown passes, including the game winner in double overtime, as Texas El Paso (2-3, 2-0) pulled out a 40-37 victory over host Southern Mississippi (2-3, 0-2). Southern Miss is 0-2 in league play for the first time in the 13-year history of Conference USA. . . . David Johnson threw for 177 yards and four touchdowns as host Tulsa (5-0, 2-0) shook off Rice (3-3, 2-1) in the second half and rolled to a 63-28 victory.

In games involving Mid-American Conference teams: MiQuale Lewis rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns and Ball State (6-0, 3-0) broke away from a tight game at the half for a 31-0 victory over host Toledo (1-4, 1-1). Toledo lost its third straight home game for the first time in 15 years and was shut out by a MAC opponent for the first time since 1985. . . . Igor Iveljic kicked three field goals, including a 25-yarder in the second overtime, to give Akron (3-3, 1-1) a 30-27 victory over host Kent State (1-5, 0-2). . . . Tim Hiller threw for a season-high 347 yards and four touchdowns and running back Brandon West scored three touchdowns, leading Western Michigan (5-1, 3-0) to a 41-20 victory over Ohio (1-5, 0-2). Hiller topped 300 yards for the third time this season and completed 24 of 37 passes for the Broncos. . . . Chester Stewart threw three touchdown passes -- two to Bruce Francis in the fourth quarter -- to lead Temple (2-4, 1-2) to a 28-10 victory over host Miami of Ohio (1-4, 0-1). . . . Andy Schmitt connected with Tyler Jones on a 16-yard touchdown pass with 36 seconds left to lead Eastern Michigan (2-4, 1-2) to a 24-21 victory over host Bowling Green (2-3, 0-1).

In games involving Sun Belt Conference teams: Paul McCall threw for 234 yards and four touchdowns to lead Florida International (2-3) to a 42-10 victory over host North Texas (0-5). T.Y. Hilton caught two touchdowns and had 145 yards receiving for Florida International, which began the game ranked last in the nation in total offense. . . . Tyrell Fenroy ran for a career-high 297 yards and two touchdowns and Michael Desormeaux accounted for three scores to lead Louisiana Lafayette (2-3, 1-0) to a 44-35 win over host Louisiana Monroe (1-4, 0-1). The Ragin' Cajuns broke a school record with 728 total yards.
