Phil Jackson back at Lakers practice after health problem
LAKERS
And he tells Lamar Odom he's not impressed with Tuesday's exhibition game against Utah.
Lakers Coach Phil Jackson was back at practice today after experiencing soreness and swelling in his legs that caused him to miss Tuesday's exhibition game against Utah.
Jackson seemed to be in good spirits, though he called it a "mysterious thing."
"I was feeling all right," he said. "I just had some curious things going on that just had to be watched."
Medical results are pending and could take up to a week, a Lakers spokesman said.
Assistant coach Kurt Rambis took Jackson's place in the Lakers' 99-90 loss to Utah. Jackson said he expected to coach Thursday's exhibition against the Clippers in Fresno.
Odom not outstanding
Jackson was not impressed by Lamar Odom's game against Utah.
Odom had three points, five rebounds, three assists, five fouls and two turnovers in 20 minutes.
"I just got through telling him that this is really basketball now," Jackson said this afternoon. "He looks like he's either curling or doing some other kind of sport. He's not playing basketball."
Jersey sales
Kobe Bryant was the top-selling jersey in Europe, followed by Boston forward Kevin Garnett, Lakers forward-center Pau Gasol, and Cleveland forward LeBron James, based on retail locations across Europe last season, the NBA announced today.
